Hey all!
It’s been a while since writing on my blog – not much goin’ on right now here in Northern Maine. These two photo’s were taken last weekend on our walks.. since then, the snow has completely melted!!! Yesterday was a balmy 55 degrees! What in the world?! My Mom was all worried if the snow didn’t all melt cause it was turning into a skating rink in our yard! But it rained again last night and now the yard is all green and a sloppy mess… But have no fear, we have 3-5 inches of the white stuff arriving in the next day or so…so it’s back to that white stuff again just in time for Christmas 🙂
Here’s to hoping all my Tripawd buddies have a great Christmas! I KNOW we’ve all been very, very good so we’ll be getting all kinds of cool stuff for Christmas…and even if we haven’t been good, we’ll still get goodies ’cause after all, we’re TRIPAWDS and TRIPAWDS RULE! 🙂
No news is good news around here! Hoppy Holidays! 🙂
Merry Christmas, Maggie, Haley, and Tracy! We’re living in our own arctic freeze here in Chicago – hoping it will break soon! My advice is to enjoy 55 while you still can.
We hope Santa brings you plenty of treats!
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Hoppy Christmas!!! Like Susan said, arctic freeze in this part of the country … I would kill for 55! Glad everything is still going well for you guys!!
Hey, girls. I think I want to move to Maine. We live in Holly and ZuZu’s neighborhood, and it feels more like the North Pole lately. So much for global warming! Looks like you had a great time in the snow. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
Uneventful is good. We like uneventful around here.
Not exactly warm way up north here either (17F – which is marginally better than Chicago right now, although we’re getting a big dump of snow).
Happy, hoppy holidays, Maggie, Haley (oh my, isn’t she just a darling!) and Tracy. Enjoy every single moment!
We’re back to typical winter weather around here now after two balmy, unbelievable days! Now 18 degrees this a.m. and SNOW back on the ground!
Tracy
Nice to hear from you Gwen! Think of you often 🙂 Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Maggie
Merry Christmas to you, Maggie! I’m glad you let your little sister be in your blog. She is super cute, and she is a part of your daily life, so…. Love from Oregon, Indi and Raina
Dear Raina,
Don’t let that pretty little face of my little sister, fool you! She’s a rug-rat, I tell ya! 😉
I have other names for her but Mom won’t let me post them on MY blog!
But well – I guess, she’s OK, sorta……
Maggie
Well, I don’t know if Santa is bringing me anything or not, but i hope I get some points for at least trying to be a good dawg this year!
Hoppy Christmas to you too Maggie Queen of Agility Tripawds! May the snow fall pretty, dry and bright!
Hi Maggie, Haley, and Tracy,
Wish all of you a Happy and joyous New Year from sunny Sri Lanka. It has been a tough time for all of us at home as Bindy my Rotti developed a limp early Nov and now there is a swelling in the rear left foot. Vets are still not sure if its cancer and th ethought of Bindy with 3 legs is terrible. She was my “walking mate” and in a sense our youngest daughter. I need to know how long ago was Maggie’ operation done?

Ananda
Hi Ananda,
Happy Holidays to you too! I’m sorry you’re having to deal with your Bindy… Have you gone on the forums on http://www.tripawds.com yet? And on the website there’s LOTS helpful information in your possible journey on life as a Tripawd. Maggie’s cancer was STS(soft tissue sarcoma) not bone cancer, the more common one. Maggie was amputated October 2009. She’s doing FANTASTIC now! It was NOT easy, I will tell you that. Often, the two weeks after amputation is pure HELL..and it was for Maggie and I. But we’re here to say LIFE IS GOOD NOW! 🙂
Tracy, Maggie’s Mom
Hi Tracy,
Thanks for the note. I have read some of the discussions on tripawd. Yes there is quite a lot to read. My dilemma is because the vets havent diagnosed the cause for the lameness and swelling around her foot. I definitely think there is pain and that is causing her to lift her paw when eating or drinking but being a possesive dog she chases after squirrels and birds in the garden. At this time she forgets all the pain and runs on all 4 legs.
I will be taking her to an animal clinic a few hrs drive from where I live to get an “clear x-ray”. The evt says that what I have is not clear enough. Until then I have to live with all the stress of uncertainity.
Rgds
Ananda
Good luck to you, Ananda, in finding a correct diagosis for Bindy. I was months and months before I got Maggie’s after going thru 3 vets..the 3rd vet finally diagnosing her correctly(and doing the amputation). I feel your stress 🙁
Tracy, Maggie’s Mom
Happy Belated Christmas and New Year! Chloe and I too haven’t posted in a while (managed to last night)! Looks like fun in the snow! Chloe has never been, but if she were to I might have to buy her a coat! She doesn’t have long fur you know…
Here’s to a year of health and happiness! Keep on thriving Maggie!
