First, a little history before I tell you of Barney’s adventures here in Maine with me….
Barney came from the ‘founding tripawd’ – Jerry. Jerry is now Spirit Jerry but the wonderous Tripawds community is still going strong and helping all those pawrents that struggle through amputation surgery, recovery and all that goes with having cancer as well. Jerry had a fettish for Barney stuffed toys…his pawrents would pick them up anywhere they saw them, as Jerry just loved that foolish purple dinosaur! So, one of Spirit Jerry’s Barney’s has gone on a Killbarney Tour(no, Mom wouldn’t let me kill him!!! argh!) – he came to Maine from Maggie the Pug in CA! I share a special bond with Maggie the Pug – obviously she has the same GREAT name as me but she is also a left rear amp tripawd! Maggie the Pug, sent along with Barney for his visit to Maine a coat! And man, did he ever need it 🙂 As it’s winter here in Maine!
Here’s me meeting Barney for the first time:
Barney looks like he had a great time in Maine! We loved the video – and how Maggie had him riding on her back! Well, kinda on her back, anyways. Hilarious!
Holly and Holly’s mom
Well… I guess you were just too excited about Barney’s visit to play by the rules there, eh Maggie? 😉 The idea is to announce stops on the KillBarney Tour in my blog! That’s OK, we still love you. And now we can keep your post short.
Just check the KillBarney Tour Map to find out!
What a great video – loved the Maggie “twist” move! I don’t think Barney stood any chance of survival riding on Maggie’s back. Poor Barney being dragged through the snow in Maine….I hope he makes it to his next destination. If not, you know who we will hold responsible…..:).
Maggie~
It was nice you spared Barney’s life. Looks like he had fun riding on your back, side, and in your mouth! Does Barney ever stop smiling??
XOXO

It looks like Barney had fun. Oh, how I miss Maine!! I am jealous!
So now we get to see that Maggie is not all black! Your face shot avatar had me totally confused – first I assumed she was a pug (named Maggie, has to be a pug, logical, eh???), and then I assumed she was all black, with maybe bits of white. Good to see all of her. Boy is she fast – no sign of missing a leg there! And so smart to do the “SPIN”.
Maggie, I think you had a better time than Barney!
It looked more like he was thrown into a dog rodeo!
Barney is a good sport but I don’t think ‘bucking dog-back riding’ is his thing!
I’m with Tazz, Those ears aren’t in your avatar pic and they are super, duper
Neat-O!! They kinda make me jealous…

Hi Tracy,
Glad to see Barney made it to and hopefully out of Maine! Great video- thanks for the twist and spin!! I LOVE the twist!! I think that is how the Barney tour is supposed to happen- not sunning by the pool!
Actually my Mag got herself stuck between a post and a fence at the dog park and had to back out!! I’m not sure I have ever seen her do that before.
Karen and the pug girls
Cool Mags! Wow, you have more snow in Maine, than we got in Fairbanks this season. Mom and Pop and all the other humans get cranky when we have a low snow winter. They’re all mad cause they can’t ski, they can’t snowmachine, the pipes are always freezing cause there is no snow insulation. But mom always says that on the plus side, the moose are less stressed and not as huffy. Anyway, the video was really funny, my mom couldn’t quit laughing, every time she stopped laughing, your mom would start and then she would laugh some more. You are really a fast girl and you know lots of moves. You should be in the limpics! Opie
Between Maggie’s “cat” singing and her dance moves with Barney, she’s one pretty talented tripawd. I think she might even qualify for American Idol or Dancing with the Stars (Barney could be her celebrity dino.) Too bad they don’t have shows like that for dogs, Maggie would definitely win the prize!
Limpics Opie, he he he! good one! Yes, that Maggie sure is talented! I was glad to spend some time with Maggie and Barney this weekend! 😉
Hey guys!
First off…my EARS! I love my ears and seems lots of folks do too! 😉 Sorry to confuse you, Tazzie…yup, I’m marked like a holstein cow…hence that is part of the reason I’m called AgileCowDog….if you can see my tail in some pictures, my tail even will remind you of a cow! 😉 My Mom’s brother said one time that he thought I had cow in me! And of course, I used to do agility for 9 years, so that’s the “agile” part! Opie, I can’t believe we have you beat for snow this year! And we really don’t have that much(for us). Limpics…too funny….maybe us Tripawders should start a new venue!! Mackenzie, cat singing? Do I really sound like a cat when I sing? Hmmmm…maybe I took lessons from our stupid cat, Jamie! Auntie Gina…so glad you got to visit with me and see me now that I’m stronger and have more hair on my amputation site. No Deramaxx this wknd, so a SURE sign I’m getting stronger! Yay!!
Maggie
Loved the pictures and the video of Maggie and Barney!!! 🙂 I can’t believe that Barney is still intact after all his visits with Tripawds so far!! 🙂
Angel Jake’s Mom
My Mommy is crying thinking about how my Barney is seeing so many adventures with all of the Tripawds of the world. It’s so cool you took him to the dog sled race! Seeing him in Maine reminds her of all the good times we had when we were there.
Thank you for being so good to my bestest friend in the world! What incredible fun he’s having.
