Maggie’s 5th Month Ampuversary walk

Just got this video loaded – it was from Saturday, March 20th, Maggie’s 5th month ampuversary!

Love that dog!  Yes, I do!  Soooooo happy she’s still here with me!

Maggie was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma on her left knee. She had amputation done on October 20, 2009. Four days after surgery she had a low grade fever and was off her food for two weeks! Trying times.. I am grateful and so pleased with how she is progressing now.

I see your Mag has that hearing loss problem that my Mag has- but she seems to always hear ‘treat’!

  5. Karen – See! I told you about that “contrary” part earlier, huh!?! Shines thru in this video! 🙂 That’s OK….I love that dog! And oh yeah, if she knows I have treats on me, she will “work” me for them! She’s crazy for sticks on that trail! But I LOVE to see her like that…feelin’ good!!!!!

Thanks Kami, Mackenzie, Dillon & Rhys! Maggie is a very special girl to me!

  6. Hey Maggie!

Watch out for those spins with your ears! You might take off like a helicopter! Then you’d be a flying dairy cow! MOOOOO!

  7. Hi Tracy

Josie was never really “down” except for one day….She didnt walk on her leg the night that I found the lump on her wrist and then part of the next day. Once I got her to the vet and got her on pain meds, she was better….We went to Madison right away and had the surgery scheduled for the following week.

I am so thankful that she has sprung back so fast! One thing I think that may make a difference is that she had her front leg amputated….not her rear as in Maggie’s case. And by all means, she is not sprinting through the park like she used to…it is a slow meandering walk…but I am thankful for anything we get!

Best of luck to you….keep up the good work Maggie…you are an inspiration to many!!!!
